4| Homemade Red Velvet cupcakes for a special friend. I have finally found the perfect piping tip for cupcakes and totally pumped about it!

Starting Up Again... Again...

Our First Sunset in Mykonos

Hi Readers!
I know, yet again I have taken a sizable hiatus from my blog. You probably saw my last post, that explained where I have been. I am now married, Dave and I took an incredible honeymoon to Greece (island hopped between Mykonos, Ios and Santorini), got home and went straight off to Boston for Canadian Thanksgiving with some family. It is finally back to reality and I am welcoming it with open arms!
I am working away on design projects right now, projects that I have decided I will share weekly with you. But I also want to share DIY projects, recipes, and my favorite things. Please bare with me for a bit, while I dabble in a few things!
I am excited about being back and can't wait to share everything I have been working on.

I'm Married!

Happy Tuesday!
I am sorry for the lack of posts last week. For starters, it was a short week and on top of that it was the last 4, short days leading up to my wedding! I did a lot of the paper goods myself (which I can't wait to share with you), and many of them had to be done at the last second, so needless to say it was a busy week! This is just a short post today to show you a few small teasers of my wedding on the weekend. I am off today on our honeymoon to Greece- I can notttt waitttttt. I will try to check in from time to time with photos to make you totally jealous and of course there will be a full recap when I am back.

Until then.... enjoy the teasers: My Dad and I reaching the end of the isle (totally surreal), the menu for the evening, my niece and nephew leading the way for me and the beyond gorgeous centerpieces.

DIY Gold Leaf Cement Pots

Um, can I just say that I really want to do this asap. I saw the DIY yesterday on Ruffled and it was too good not to share immediately. So if you haven't already seen this... LOOK at the amazing-ness!...

Their tutorial is so simple and quick, you could make the pots in an evening! A beautiful pot like this would look fabulous in a space like the one I was talking about yesterday.

These would make a great minimalist centerpiece at a wedding or holiday party. What about mini versions as a party take-away?! Lets be honest- one of these beauties on a clean coffee table would be magic.

I am loving the fresh, clean Scandinavian look they are proposing for fall. What's On My Board

I have a bulletin board right beside my desk, that I stick random things to on a daily basis. Right now I have a yoga schedule, a great DIY art idea, a favorite photo of me with friends and a bunch of fabrics.
I wanted to show you a quick snap of a very cute palette that has just kind of evolved on my board. I stick a favorite fabric up and then the palettes just kind of grow- this one isn't for any specific job, but it has really come together! It would be great for a little boy, or girls room. If you subbed out the elephants I think this palette could be transferred to almost any room in the house. How cheery would it be in a kitchen (again... remove those elephants!)!? By sticking with the same few colours- white, bluish-grey, yellow and light grey, and switching up the patterns, it maintains a cheery, but soft feeling.
I'm kind of loving it right now.

Favorite Finds: Fishs Eddy

 

From the moment I saw my first piece of Fishs Eddy, I knew I had found a source for fabulous kitchen accessories forever. It was 2 years ago at Lynn Crawford's restaurant, Ruby Watchco (which remains one of my favorite restaurants in the city, btw), where our bill was brought out on this:
I turned it over and wrote what was printed on the back: "Fishs Eddy" into my phone. It wasn't until recently that I stumbled upon the name again in my phone and looked them up. They are a New York based company that have been selling unique and edgy, kitchen and restaurant supplies for over 25 years. Below are a few things I have my eye on... (its all so crazy gorgeous)... Ugh! Love it!
